Chapter 1: Guide to CBD

CBD Basics

Chapter 1 covers basic information like what is CBD oil, how is CBD grown and produced. We will also discuss some frequently asked questions from new CBD users.

CBD Wellness’s CBD oil is an all-natural oil which is extracted from the flowers of the cannabis hemp plant. CBD is used by people all over the world and used for a variety of health and wellness purposes.

Our full spectrum CBD oil contains all the active compounds (cannabinoids) and terpenes. The entourage effect allows CBD to work synergistically with the other compounds to work even better, making the health benefits of CBD Wellness products even more pronounced.

All of our product formulations also contain other beneficial natural components such as omega fatty acids, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals.

The Cannabis Plant

Cannabis belongs to the family of plants called Cannabaceae. There are two main types of the cannabis plant that are cultivated for human consumption, namely Cannabis hemp and Cannabis marijuana. Hemp is primarily related to the sativa species and Marijuana can be sativa or indica (or hybrid containing elements of both species).

Cannabis sativa is typically taller and fiber producing, usually used for hemp cultivation. Indica plants are typically shorter and bushier, mostly used to cultivate medical marijuana.

What is the Differences? Cannabis Hemp Vs Cannabis Marijuana

The defying difference of Cannabis hemp vs Cannabis marijuana is found at the plant level. Simply put, Cannabis is Cannabis. The compounds that make the plant cannabis must be the same, otherwise it’s not Cannabis. The only difference is the varying amount of THC in the plant (dry weight). If the cannabis plant contains less than .3% THC (dry weight) it is hemp, if the THC exceeds .3% its marijuana. It’s honestly that simple.

Marijuana is typically bred to have high amounts of the psychoactive compound THC (delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol) the compound known for getting its user “high”.

Marijuana is considered by many to be a “drug”, however at CBD Wellness we do not consider any plant to be a drug. Marijuana is cultivated for medical and recreational use. Marijuana comes in several strains which are determined by the terpene profile. These strains are typically indica, sativa, or hybrid (combination of indica and sativa).

The United States federal government classifies marijuana as a Class I controlled substance. Many U.S. states have now passed legislation for the regulation, cultivation, and sale of marijuana as medicine. Many states have also legalized recreational use of marijuana.

Hemp is not marijuana and marijuana is not hemp, yet hemp and marijuana are both cannabis. Hemp contains cannabinoids, CBD typically being the highest compound concentration. Hemp contains negligible amounts of THC. To be legally cultivated or identified as hemp it must contain less than 0.3% THC. Hemp can also be grown as an industrial crop, used for its fibers in textiles as well as building materials. Industrial hemp is primarily grown for its fiber and contains small amounts of cannabinoids and terpenes, which doesn’t make it a good source for creating high quality CBD.

Unfortunately, many of the CBD products available on the market are derived from industrial hemp. CBD Wellness only uses phytocannabinoid rich hemp, which is bred with the highest concentrations of CBD. Also referred to as PCR hemp, which is short for phytocannabinoid rich. Our type of CBD hemp contains as much as ten times the concentration of CBD than generic industrial hemp and only contains negligible, legal amounts of THC.

Types of CBD Oil

What are the types of CBD oil and how do their qualities compare? With the evolution of this new, growing industry, it’s important to mention that terms and definitions change. We do our best to keep up to date educational information and make changes when new research emerges or something changes.

Hemp CBD vs. Marijuana CBD

CBD oil can be extracted from marijuana the same way it’s extracted from hemp. The oils made from marijuana are typically referred to as Medical Marijuana tinctures, THC oil, MMJ tincture, MMJ oil. Oil extracted from marijuana contains some CBD but typically contains high levels of THC which induce a high. Oil Extracts made from marijuana remain illegal as a Schedule 1 substance under the Controlled Substances Act. However, as mentioned previously many states have now passed legislation allowing for the legal cultivation and sale of marijuana from state licensed dispensaries for medical and recreational use. States with medical marijuana use require the patient to get a medical marijuana card, which you have to go to an approved state doctor who will perform a checkup and process the necessary state paperwork to show your qualifying condition for it use.

Going forward we will focus on the discussion of PCR (phytocannabinoid rich) CBD oil produced hemp. We will not be discussing or referring to marijuana or industrial hemp.

Raw CBD Oil vs. CBD Concentrate

When cannabinoids, terpenes and other oils are first extracted from hemp into an oil it’s typically referred to as RSO or raw hemp extract. This raw extract is then put through a series of filtration and distillation processes which further separate and remove unwanted compounds (waxes, chlorophyll). These refined CBD oils come in a variety of types, purity, and CBD content. Refined CBD oils are typically referred to as CBD distillate or CBD concentrate.

What Is Full Spectrum CBD Oil?

Full spectrum CBD refers to the oil containing all the cannabinoids and terpenes that are naturally made by cannabis. Retaining the natural balance of cannabinoids and terpenes found in the original plant is what creates and is referred to as full spectrum CBD oil. Full spectrum CBD will by far yield the best results and optimize the effects from your CBD product, this is because of the entourage effect.

CBD-Rich Oil/Phytocannabinoid-Rich (PCR): Another term used is CBD-rich oil. This is the same as full spectrum and typically means the oil has gone through filtration and distillation to remove unwanted components (like chlorophyll and waxes). This causes the product to have a higher concentration of CBD than the initial raw extract. Due to the oil containing mostly CBD, it’s also referred to or labeled as “CBD-Rich”.

What Is Broad Spectrum CBD Oil?

Broad spectrum CBD oil is like full spectrum oil, with the key difference being little to no trace amounts of THC. As previously discussed, full spectrum CBD oil retains all the original cannabinoids and terpenes. Broad spectrum CBD oil also contains some of the cannabinoids and terpenes but has gone through another processing step to further remove the trace amounts of THC. That being said, many broad-spectrum products still contain a negligible amount of thc because removing thc completely is difficult & costly. When companies test the concentrates for content and concentration, testing can be set to only detect levels above a certain amount. If the levels don’t meet or exceed the set level the test will result in 0%. For example: A company produces a broad-spectrum oil that contains .2% thc. Testing is set to detect thc at .3% and above. The test result will come back as 0% because it wasn’t set to detect anything above .0%.

What Is CBD Isolate?

CBD can also be purified into its isolated, pure form. This is referred to as CBD isolate. In it’s pure isolated form these cannabinoids are powdered crystals that are colorless and odorless. CBD isolate is no longer a plant, so we don’t recommend its use. Isolated CBD has been linked to negative effects on some of its users, which include kidney issues. We believe this is due to how it’s chemically processed and far closer to a pharmaceutical than a plant. Many people have turned away from western medicine run by the pharmaceutical industry, so they find using isolated cbd products are counterproductive.   CBD isolate lacks all of the beneficial cannabinoids and terpenes found naturally in the plant.

CBD-Infused Oil

CBD-infused typically describes products which have been infused with CBD. If properly labeled, the product should specify if its marijuana or hemp, full spectrum, broad spectrum or isolate. If the extract is “CBD isolate,” then it’s not full spectrum. If the ingredients include “CBD-rich” or “full spectrum,” then you’re getting all the beneficial compounds found in the cannabis plant. It’s important to understand and know what’s in your product, because they can produce different effects and results.

CBD & Hemp

There are a variety of hemp and CBD products which can contain varying levels of CBD as well as other cannabinoids and terpenes or no cbd, cannabinoids, and terpenes.

Hemp seed oil — hemp seed oil, also known as hemp oil, is the oil produced from hemp seeds and does not contain CBD. Hemp seed oil or hemp oil does not support the endocannabinoid system nor beneficial for inflammation symptoms. Unfortunately, most “CBD” products available are made of hemp seed oil and labeled incorrectly to suggest or say they are CBD oil.

Raw hemp extract — refers to hemp’s initial extraction process that separates the cannabinoids & terpenes away from the plant material.

PCR (Phytocannabinoid) extract — A high-quality, full spectrum oil which is rich in CBD and contains all the naturally occurring compounds in cannabis, includes cannabinoids and terpenes.

CBD concentrate or distillate — A full spectrum or broad-spectrum oil which has undergone further purification and filtration to further remove unwanted compounds.

CBD isolate — Purified CBD in its purest isolated crystal form, typically 99% pure. It does not contain any terpenes or cannabinoids that makes cannabis beneficial for health and wellness.

CBD-rich oil/Phytocannabinoid-rich (PCR) — Can be a full spectrum or broad-spectrum CBD oil, concentrate or oil infused with CBD concentrate.

Broad spectrum oil — An oil rich in CBD and contains some of the beneficial cannabinoids and terpenes present in cannabis EXCEPT for THC which is reduced to a negligible amount or none, through further purification processing.

CBD-infused — Refers to a product infused with CBD.

Frequently Asked Questions for Beginners

As you know, understanding CBD can be complicated. What doesn’t help is the mass amount of misinformation surrounding the industry, this is primarily due to companies trying to get involved for money and marketing cbd products as they believe they understand them. Most product brands are what’s called “white label”. They buy in bulk from a manufacturer and use their own packaging and labels under their brand name and market them how they see fit. These companies only focus on buying the absolute cheapest products they can find and selling them at the highest price they can get. They are at the mercy of their manufacture and accept what the manufacture tells them. Rarely do these types of companies pay for additional testing to verify what the manufacturer told them or confirm the COA (certificate of analysis) provided is accurate. These products account for 90% of what’s readily available in the market and why so many users report “cbd doesn’t work” after trying several brands. We are constantly trying to explain that just because the product they bought from the gas station or amazon says it contains a certain amount of CBD, unfortuanaly doesn’t mean it actually does. Many companies selling cbd products are completely clueless on testing and concentration levels nor understand proper dosing and formulations.

Another point of confusion steams from the media, who often use the term marijuana when referring to hemp and vice versa. We also hear things like Cannabis CBD is different than hemp CBD. When in fact cannabis is the plant that can be hemp or marijuana, depending on the thc levels.

Another common concern among new cbd users is if full spectrum CBD will cause them to get high or if there are any negative side effects.

Hopefully CBD Wellness can help dispel any doubts you may have about our CBD products.

Does full spectrum CBD Oil get you high?

No, our full spectrum CBD oil is scientifically incapable of getting you high. Properly produced CBD Wellness’s full spectrum CBD oil is derived from phytocannabinoid rich hemp and does not contain THC in high enough concentrations to cause a high. Remember, to be classified as hemp, the cannabis plant must have 0.3% or less thc and our typical distillated cbd rich oil contains 90%+ CBD. So, in no amount could anyone get high from CBD Wellness products.

THC acts upon different receptors in the brain than CBD, thc changes brain chemistry and therefore alters consciousness. CBD does not trigger the same receptors. In fact, CBD actually blocks them from reacting to THC. This is why all new medical marijuana and new recreational users are always recommended to get a CBD Wellness tincture in case they take too much thc and start feeling weird or begin having a bad “trip”. By taking high amounts of CBD after the use of THC it will minimize any negative effects from the thc.

CBD oils produced by many manufacturers and white labelers only contain trace amounts of CBD. CBD Wellness products are produced in our own lab, using scientific methodologies which allow us to accurately formulate the exact amount of activated CBD as labeled on the product.

CBD Oil Side Effects?

Effects, both desired and unwanted (adverse) can vary from person to person. Adverse effects from cbd oil seldom occur and if they do they are extremely minor.

Adverse effects are when something occurs, that wasn’t intended.

Although rare, we have identified the following adverse effects users have reported over the years:

High doses of CBD may cause drowsiness or feeling tired.

High doses of CBD tincture may cause a laxative effect.

Regular CBD tincture use has caused some users to lose weight.

Regular CBD tincture use helps lower blood pressure and cholesterol. Users taking blood pressure and cholesterol pharmaceuticals should closely monitor their levels, especially blood pressure to not cause a syncopal episode.

Will CBD Make Me Drowsy?

Taking large amounts of CBD may cause drowsiness, especially for those who haven’t or don’t get enough sleep. CBD in your endocannabinoid system works by balancing your homeostasis. This means, if your body isn’t well rested CBD will make it seem like you are tired or drowsy because it’s what your body needs.

CBD has biphasic properties. This means CBD oil could cause different effects depending on the amount of CBD taken. Smaller doses (>30mg) of CBD are unlikely to cause tiredness or drowsiness. When CBD is used in higher doses (<50mg), there is a greater potential it could cause tiredness or drowsiness.

Is CBD oil safe for Pets?

Yes, our high-quality CBD tinctures are safe for pets. Their size and activity level will determine the optimal serving size. Pets range in weight from under a pound to hundreds of pounds.

How many mgs of CBD should I give to my pet?

Things to be considered when deciding the mg dose for your pet, are like humans.

What is the reason you’ve decided to give your pet CBD?

If it’s use is for general overall health and wellness benefits, we suggest 2mg per 5lb, 2x’s a day [morning and night] (example: 5lb animal would be 2mgs).

If the animal has health or illness issues, we suggest 5mgs per 5lbs, 2-4x’s a day [morning, lunch, afternoon, and night] (example: ageing animal has joint pain and weights 15lbs, suggested starting dose would be 15mgs). Remember, this is just a starting suggestion point.

Typically, results start to become noticeable after a few days. The more severe an issue is, the more CBD will be required to get results. If you notice improvements but they don’t last, you can add a 3rd or 4th dosing time or increase or decrease the mg amount as needed. The key to long-term improvements and results is found in a daily use regimen.

Some pets are inactive and don’t get much exercise, while others are very active with a much higher metabolism, this is the reason CBD effects vary.

Chapter 2: CBD Oil

CBD Wellness Oil

CBD stands for cannabidiol. It’s one of many compounds called cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. CBD is not an acronym. Cannabidiol has been shortened to CBD because it’s traditional for cannabinoids to have a three-letter designation. THC for tetrahydrocannabinol, CBG for cannabigerol, CBN for cannabinol. THC is perhaps the most prominent member of known cannabinoids, notorious for causing users to get “high”.

What Are Cannabinoids?

Cannabinoids are active compounds created and found in all cannabis plants (marijuana and hemp). Cannabinoids account for most the health benefits cannabis is known for. Cannabinoids derived from cannabis are called phytocannabinoids, because they are plant derived. Phytocannabinoids imitate endocannabinoids, endocannabinoids are produced internally, naturally by all mammals.

Phytocannabinoids — Plant produced Cannabinoids.

Endocannabinoids — Mammal produced Cannabinoids.

Some other cannabinoids found in cannabis are cannabichromene (CBC) and cannabigerol (CBG). Cannabichromene (CBC) is the third most frequent cannabinoid found in cannabis. Cannabichromene is non-psychoactive. CBC and CBG have similar properties to CBD.

What Do Endocannabinoids Do?

Naturally produced endocannabinoids in our bodies are signaling molecules, called neurotransmitters. Hormones are also a type of neurotransmitter.

Neurotransmitters are generated by the nervous system and respond to various states of health and environmental factors. They interact with receptors found on the surface of cells throughout our bodies. They instruct cells to adapt their activities, including how cells react to other neurotransmitters.

Our brains don’t connect with every cell in your body, these neurotransmitters help direct your system and allow them to communicate to one another. While our body’s nervous system connects to a wide variety of sensors to keep track of every system in our body. Signals from these sensors are deciphered by the brain and the nervous system. If your system goes out of balance, our nervous system will produce neurotransmitters, which travel through the bloodstream and interact with receptors on cells, directing them to adjust their actions. Some of these signals even sense environmental conditions, letting you know your cold or hot.

Endocannabinoid System (ECS)

Cannabinoid’s role in supporting homeostasis.

The endocannabinoid system (ECS) has two components. Endocannabinoid receptors found on the surface of cells throughout the body and endocannabinoids that interact with those receptors.

We are constantly learning more about the endocannabinoid system. What is known is the endocannabinoid system regulates bodily functions, which include appetite, sleep, mood, metabolism, immune response, cell lifespan, and so much more.

Common Cannabinoids found in the Cannabis plant

Cannabidiol (CBD) — The second most known cannabinoid, is non-psychotropic (it doesn’t get you high). Known for its vast health and wellness benefits, which include but not limited to: pain relief, reduces inflammation, appetite support, reduced nausea & vomiting, reducing intestinal spasms, anxiety relief, relaxant, reduces seizures and convulsions, suppress muscle spasms, improves immune system function, regulates blood pressure, regulates blood sugar, prevents degradation of nervous system, helps psoriasis, reduces artery blockage, kills bacterial growth, reduces / inhibits / kills growth in tumors & cancer, and promotes bone growth.

Delta9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) — Most known cannabinoid, is the primary psychoactive compound. Known for getting users high, inducing euphoria, pain relief, appetite stimulant, reduces nausea & vomiting, suppress muscle spasms, reduces / inhibits / kills growth in tumors & cancer, and promotes bone growth.

Cannabichromene (CBC) — The third most known cannabinoid, is non-psychoactive. Helps support mood, improves joint and muscle function, relieves pain, reduces inflammation, promotes bone growth, and reduces / inhibits / kills growth in tumors & cancer.

Cannabinol (CBN) — Known for its sedative properties, it helps with sleep and relaxation. Helps support joint and muscle function, relive pain, and suppress muscle spasms.

Cannabigerol (CBG) — Non-psychoactive. Helps support mood. Known to improve joint and muscle function, relieves pain, reduces inflammation, kills bacterial & fungal infections, promotes bone growth, and reduces / inhibits / kills growth in tumors & cancer.

Tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCv) — Is less psychoactive than THC, suppress appetite, reduces seizures & convulsions, reduces blood sugar levels, and promoted bone growth.

Cannabidivarin (CBDv) — Similar effects to CBD.

Delta(8) THC — Similar to delta(9)-THC but less psychoactive. Supports relaxation, mood, and helps reduce anxiety.

THCa and CBDa — Non activated compounds in raw cannabis that are non-psychotropic.

What Are Terpenes?

Terpenes are a class of volatile hydrocarbon compounds produced by the cannabis plant as well as most other plants. Cannabis contains more terpenes than any other plant currently known. Terpenes are considered safe for human consumption by the Food and Drug Association. Terpenes are used in a wide variety of foods, beverages, and cosmetic products.

Plants terpenes act as a repellent for pests and attractant for pollinators & seed spreaders. Terpenes are what give cannabis its smell and flavor, terpenes are also an essential component in determining the different cannabis strains and the biological effects they cause. Terpene molecules are all similar, each having its own unique scent and flavor.

Terpenes affect how cannabinoids work and what they do in our bodies. Terpenes have been utilized by humans for centuries, most commonly as aromatherapy.

Example: Citrus scent is known to help elevate mood, so in theory a combination of limonene and pinene would help in mood elevation.

Prominent terpenes in cannabis include but not limited to linalool, myrcene, caryophyllene, limonene, terpinolene, citronellol, and camphene. Traditional use of these terpenes and others vary greatly. Many are used as muscle & joint support, improve mood, and overall health & wellness.

Terpenes also modify and increase the effects cannabinoids have acting with our cannabinoid receptors. This is known as the entourage effect.

The Entourage Effect

Although not as powerful as cannabinoids, terpenes are an extremely valuable component of cannabis and cbd oil.

CBD-rich full spectrum cannabinoids and terpenes is what creates the entourage effect. Together these cannabinoids and terpenes work to produce a wide range of health & wellness benefits, greater than the sum of any individual compounds.

Research is constantly evolving helping us determine the exact role terpenes have in the overall effects of CBD oil. What is clear is that terpenes work together with cannabinoids to produce far better effectiveness than CBD alone.

Most CBD oil products on the market are just oil infused with CBD isolate or broad spectrum. These products do not have the added benefits of all the cannabinoids and terpenes, which will not produce the entourage effect or have the effectiveness as our CBD Wellness CBD-rich full spectrum oil.

We do not recommend broad spectrum and especially don’t recommend cbd isolate.

Chapter 3: CBD Oil Benefits

Although cannabis has been used around the world since the begging of time for medical and recreational purposes, it was lost over the ages due to confining laws which crippled research on the plant. Much has changed over the last few decades though; cannabis has gone from a taboo, illegal substance, to a readily available product sold in just about every store in the US. Thanks to new legislation and laws, cannabis research has flourished, effectively allowing millions the opportunity to educate themselves without the fear of arrest and previous propaganda.

History of CBD Research

In 1968, the UK government’s Advisory Committee on Drug Dependence reported “the long-term consumption of cannabis in moderate doses has no harmful effects…Cannabis is less dangerous than the opiates, amphetamines and barbiturates, and also less dangerous than alcohol….” The University of Mississippi was granted permission to grow marijuana for research by the US government the same year.

Richard Nixon

1970 the United States declared marijuana a Class I substance, stating it has a high potential for abuse and no medicinal value. In 1972, a report based on a comprehensive study by the Department of Health, Education and Welfare recommended marijuana should be removed from the scheduling system and decriminalized because it does have medicinal value and has a low potential for abuse. Unfortunately, the US declared a “War on Drugs” and President Richard Nixon rejected the recommendation.

In 1976, Robert Randall filed a lawsuit against the government stating his use of marijuana was “medically necessary”, the presiding federal judge ruled in his favor. Essentially making Robert Randall the first legal medical marijuana patient.

As a direct result of this lawsuit in 1978 the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) began supplying cannabis to patients whose physicians applied for and obtained “compassionate use” rights under Investigational New Drug Applications (IND) rules. Most of the medical research done on cannabis has taken place after this case.

The human endocannabinoid system was discovered in phases. In 1988, the first cannabinoid receptor was found in the brain of a rat. In 1992, researcher Raphael Mechoulam and NIMH researchers William Devane and Dr. Lumir Hanus discovered the first endocannabinoid. These discoveries resulted in a surge of new studies into cannabinoids and their effects.

In 1993, the American Medical Student Association unanimously endorsed a statement calling for the rescheduling of cannabis to Schedule 2. Since then, plethora’s of researched data have been used in attempts to pressure the federal government to relent on this matter. So far, none have been successful although we are making progress.

What We Know About CBD

CBD has positive effects on mood, reduces anxiety & stress, helps reduce pain & inflammation, helps gut health, and creates homeostasis.

CBD supports emotional stability. Research shows CBD positively affects our endocannabinoid anandamide. Anandamide is produced by the nervous system to stimulate the uptake of serotonin in the gut and brain. Serotonin is commonly referred to as the “happy molecule” due to its ability to improve mood.

Low mood typically means low amounts of serotonin. Increased serotonin results in an increased feeling of well-being. This goes back to the ECS — a balanced ECS is a happy ECS.

CBD’s Sleep Effects

Many people have sleep issues and a common reason to use CBD oil to help get a good night’s sleep. When you don’t get sleep or enough sleep, your entire system suffers. Generally, this results in irritability, poor mood, tiredness, anxiety, increased pain & inflammation. It’s no wonder so many have come to rely on taking CBD Wellness CBD or CBN tinctures before bed. Getting a good, full night’s sleep helps you roll out of bed feeling fresh and energized each day.

Chapter 4: Using CBD Oil, Methods CBD is used, Determining serving size and mg dosing amount.

Bioavailability of CBD

Just like not all CBD products are equal, not all methods for using CBD are equal. Effectiveness depends not only on the method of consumption and the ingredients in the product but also on the bioavailability of the CBD.

The bioavailability of an active compound is the percentage of that compound that ends up being available for your body to use.

A bioavailability of 100% would signify that 100% of the CBD in the product is available to your body. The only way to achieve 100% bioavailability is through intravenous administration — meaning injection directly into the bloodstream.

Every other method of consumption will result in some percentage of the CBD becoming unavailable to the body for various reasons, such as becoming trapped in fatty tissues or metabolized (broken down) before it has a chance to enter the bloodstream.

Each intake method of CBD will vary its bioavailability results.

Bioavailability of CBD Wellness Tinctures

Our tinctures contain an all-natural, proprietary mct (medium chain triglycerides) oil formula, which is then formulated and infused with our CBD-Rich CBD oil. CBD tinctures are taken by mouth, sublingually (under tongue) or buccally (between gums & cheeks). We have found tinctures to be the best method for CBD use and the tincture is absorbed easily.

CBD in tinctures are at least 3x’s more bioavailable than cbd edibles (gummies, cookies, brownies, and other infused food products). This is due to several reasons, some of which are: CBD Wellness tinctures contain a vast amount of cannabinoids and terpenes that are infused with our propriety oil which allows for the highest bioavailability of the compounds taken. The ingredients in most edibles do not allow for a lot of bioavailability and are mostly processed as waste. Most edibles contain sugar, so it’s counterproductive to take CBD which helps with relieving pain, inflammation, stress, anxiety (and more) infused in a sugary product, considering sugar exacerbates pain, inflammation, stress, and anxiety.

How Long does it take for CBD Oil to take Effect?

Several factors determine the time it takes for CBD oil to take effect, also known as “onset”.

Some variables are associated to CBD itself; others are related to the individual’s body.

Factors such as age, health, weight, circulation, and metabolism all affect the timing and effects of CBD oil.

An influential factor is the number of cannabinoid receptors in your body, how they communicate and the body’s ability to produce endocannabinoids. Someone who presents with more receptors or produces less endocannabinoids could be more sensitive to CBD. Whereas someone with an abundance of endocannabinoids or a lack of receptors could be less sensitive to CBD.

There are also numerous other factors to consider: type of product, how it’s used, and how much is being used. The onset of edibles will typically take longer than that of tinctures, for example.

Some factors that determine how long it takes for CBD to begin to take effect are:

Weight: Someone who weighs 200lb would have to take more CBD to feel the effects than someone who weighs 100lbs.

Reason for taking CBD: Someone who has no issues, illness or disease who just wants to take CBD as a supplement for its overall health & wellness benefits or just wants to relax or unwind after a stressful day could take 10mg and feel relaxed through its anti-anxiety properties within 15-30mins. Whereas someone with a severe medical condition such as chronic pain, seizures, cancer or any number of other illness & diseases would need to take more CBD, more frequently in order to feel effects. The worse the issue is, the more CBD it will require and typically takes a few days of regular use before the CBD has time to build up in the system allowing effects to be noticed.

Amount of CBD mg’s taken & frequency: Amount and Frequency are what the individual taking CBD finds work for them, and will vary person to person.

Example: 2 people that are the same weight and taking cbd for same reason (chronic pain). 1 person takes 10mg in the morning while the other person take 10mg 4x’s throughout the day. The person taking more frequently will begin to feel effects way faster than the one taking less.

Diet & Exercise: Most of our issues arise from our daily eating and exercise habits. Eating fresh whole fruits, vegetables, natural proteins and drinking spring water along with taking CBD Wellness will help in your journey to a happier & healthier life. We always recommend reducing or eliminating processed sugars and limiting alcohol use.

Intake Methods:

~Vaping or smoking raw CBD flower from CBD Wellness is the fastest method of intake and effects are felt almost immediately. It has the fastest onset but the shortest duration, effects typically ware off withing 20-60mins.

~CBD Wellness Tinctures, most users report onset within 15-40mins. Effects typically last 2-6hrs. For serious internal issues, it may take up to 7days of daily use before results are noticeable. As the cbd builds up and binds to your internal receptors, results will continue to increase.

We’ve had countless amazing reports from people of all walks of life who started using our products for one reason or another. Many taking for one reason, let’s say anxiety, and tell us it works great. Then after taking cbd daily for a few weeks report back letting us know it also greatly or completely eliminated their chronic pain or reduced their blood pressure or lowered their blood sugar, in some cases all of these and more. So much so that their primary doctor was reducing or eliminating their prescriptions. We regularly remind new users that although CBD Wellness is amazing and will do wonders, sometimes it takes time to really begin seeing its full potential. If someone is 60 years old and has several severe conditions or issues, taking a dose or 2 of CBD isn’t going to reverse what took 60 years to manifest.

~CBD Wellness edibles typically begin taking effect within 30min and last around 4hrs.

~CBD Wellness salves usually begin working within 15-30mins, effects typically last 4-8hrs.

~CBD Wellness liniments typically begin working immediately, 1-3mins and last 2-4hrs on average. Our liniments are formulated to permeate the blood brain barrier, so they work great for fast and deep penetrating topical relief.

As we previously discussed, onset of inhaled CBD is almost immediate. Edibles and capsules can range anywhere from 30 minutes to over an hour, while tinctures can take up to 20 minutes.

These figures should be considered as general guidelines, they will vary from person to person.

CBD Oil Serving & MG Dosing

Like bioavailability and onset, the ideal serving and mg dosing of CBD will depend on an array of factors including but not limited to; the product being used, the concentration, individuals’ genetic makeup, weight, and more.

Our products list a suggested serving and mg dosing amount. We came up with our suggested serving as a baseline, starting point for someone new to using cbd. They do not cover all the variables; the recommended serving and mg dosing size might be too small or too high. Typically, the serving and mg dosing amount will vary most when considering what it’s being used for.

A serving for one product might be much different than that of a similar product. For example: Our tinctures come in 1oz (30ml) bottles but vary in CBD concentration; such as 300mg (1ml serving contains 10mg’s of CBD), 700mg (1ml serving contains 23mg’s of CBD), 1500mg (1ml serving contains 50mg of CBD), 2500mg (1ml serving contains 83mg’s of CBD), 5000mg (1ml serving contains 166mg’s of CBD). So although the serving size is 1ml for each of them, the amount CBD mg’s in each 1ml is different.

Again, one of the most important factors is the reason you’re using CBD, serving & dose amount and how frequently your taking CBD.

However, the most important factor to be considered is that both serving size and duration of use depend largely on the effect you are interested in when you use CBD products. One person might be using CBD to support general health & wellness, while others might be taking CBD to help with sleep issues, pain & inflammation relief, anxiety and stress relief, the list could go on and on.

As previously mentioned, the type of CBD concentrate used in the formulation will play a role in how effective the product is. As previously discussed, a CBD-Rich full spectrum CBD oil with terpenes will always yield better, faster results than a broad spectrum or isolate CBD product. This is due to the entourage effect, which allows the product compounds to work more effectively than just CBD alone.

Determining the ideal dose of CBD requires some trial and error. Luckily you can’t take too much CBD nor will it cause any adverse reactions if you do take too much while trying to find your ideal dose (other than possibly making you too relaxed or tired). If you’re not getting the desired effects after 7 days of regular daily use, it most likely means you’re not taking enough. When this happens, you can either increase the amount taken or if you notice the effects ware off between taking doses you can add another dose in between. It will take some experimentation to determine the ideal CBD serving for each person. Some people take 10mg CBD morning & night and that works for them, others take 30mg morning & night, and some take even higher doses every few hours.

General guide to determine your ideal MG dose of CBD oil:

Stick With CBD Wellness!

As you know, there are thousands of different CBD product brands. You also know that every CBD brand has products that vary greatly. We’ve had so many people come into our store wanting to get a CBD product after trying several other brands that didn’t do anything. Many times the last CBD brand product they bought was labeled with high CBD mg amount (like 5,000mg), so when we recommend our 700mg or 1500mg they immediately ask what we have stronger because the other brands product was higher and didn’t do anything. We then explain botanical mg dosing, explaining how most CBD products mgs are highly inflated and that our products are accurate. I can’t tell you how many people come back after their first bottle to get another and say something along the lines of “I still don’t understand how CBD Wellness’s 1500mg tincture is stronger than the 5,000mg tincture I got from another brand” then go on to say how they were going to give up on CBD but there neighbor or friend were talking about how well CBD Wellness works for them so figured they’d give it a try and so happy they did. The fact is, botanical products “mg” typically represents the total weight of the plant added to the product. For example, 1gram (which is 1,000mg) of cbd distillate is infused in a 1oz tincture. Most companies will label this product as 1,000mg CBD, however there is not 1,000mg of CBD in it. If the distillate was 80% cbd, it would make the product contain 800mg of CBD. At CBD Wellness we do things differently, we formulate the exact amount of CBD listed vs just listing the plant weight.

Many of the other CBD brands out there are using hemp oil or industrial hemp which results in a product with typically less than 10% cbd potency. So if someone bought a 1,000mg labeled product with this, it would actually only contain 100mg of CBD. Many of these brands have no idea this is what they’re selling. Coupled with the fact many brands aren’t manufacturers, just buying white label, which creates the reason why so many people try countless different CBD brands which don’t work, until hearing about or finding CBD Wellness. Bottom line is, if you have a product with actual CBD, enough CBD in it, and consistently use it, you will see some positive changes to your health & wellness.

A recent study tested products from 100 CBD brands on the market. Not surprisingly 80 of them had zero or less than 10% of the cbd content labeled, 10 had approximately 50% of the cbd content labeled, leaving only 10 brands that actually contained the amount of CBD labeled.

Starting CBD Dose & Serving Size

Consider the reason you’re taking CBD and desired result timeline which should play a factor when deciding on mg dose and how often you should use.

When you first begin using CBD Wellness CBD-Rich CBD oil, it’s recommended to start with a medium mg dose amount. This gives you a chance to determine your body’s response to CBD. One option is to start with 5mg of CBD for every 20 pounds of weight. Using this rule, someone weighing 100 pounds should start with 25 milligrams of CBD a day (recommend 12.5mg 2x’s a day @ morning & night). Someone weighing over 200 pounds is recommend 50mg of CBD a day (recommend 16mg 3x’s a day @ morning, lunch, night).

When first using CBD oil, it’s best to just start. If you’re concerned about being drowsy, take the first dose about an hour before bedtime. That way, if CBD makes you drowsy, you’re not sleepy during the day. It’s uncommon for a low dose of CBD to cause drowsiness, in fact many users report small doses of CBD to give them energy. Although drowsiness may occur when you first start using CBD (especially if taking higher dose), that will dissipate as the CBD builds up in your ECS and your body gets accustomed to the phytocannabinoids.

If you have no concerns, take another serving in the morning. If CBD oil does make you sleepy, then take it at night. Again, the dose amount will play a factor as well as if your body received enough sleep. CBD oil is commonly used to support both sleep and daytime focus, which is why many take CBD as needed throughout the day. Remember, cannabis has biphasic properties; meaning the dosing amount can change the effects (example: low cbd dose may give you energy, while a high cbd dose may cause drowsiness).

Increase Your Dose Amount

If all is going well, but you haven’t achieved the desired benefits after doing a daily regimen for at least 7 days, we suggest doubling your CBD dose. Each time you increase your dose, continue with the same dose and regimen for at least 7 days in order to see how your body responds. Once you achieve the desired results, don’t stop your regimen. Otherwise, the issues will come back over time as the CBD dissipates from your ECS, meaning you will have to start over building CBD back up in your ECS. When you find the best regimen and dose that works for you stick with it, if you have an off day that increases your managed symptoms, feel free to take an extra dose or 2 as needed throughout the day to help.

If your CBD dose produces any unwanted effects such as making you drowsy, lower your dose. Keeping in mind that any unwanted effects will dissipate with regular use.

Can You Take Too Much CBD Oil?

Our CBD is all natural and non-toxic. No amount of our CBD oil would result in any adverse health effects. As previously mentioned the most common side effect of taking too much CBD will result in being extremely relaxed, tired or possible laxative effects (gut health cleanser). Nothing that could cause harm.

Once you find your dose of CBD, it’s a good idea to stick with it.

CBD Bioavailability

Bioavailability is the amount of CBD that makes its way into the bloodstream. CBD is expensive, so you always want to maximize the value you get for your money. If a CBD product has 10% bioavailability, you’re essentially paying five times more for your CBD than if you bought a product which has a 50% bioavailability. Same goes for MG potency, if a cbd product is labeled as 1,000mg but the concentrate used was 10% CBD that means the product actually contains 100mg of cbd. That would mean CBD Wellness’s 300mg product would actually be 3x’s stronger than their 1,000mg. This is because the majority of other CBD brands depict the plants weight added and not the active constituent compound (i.e. CBD).

Product Type Pros and Cons

Tinctures

Tinctures are the most popular way to use CBD, and for good reason. They provide the best overall results, are the best value for your money, easy and discreet to use. Many people have their tincture bottles at their home, in their car, purse and office, this way no matter where they are they have CBD when they need it.

The downside of tinctures is that they are sun sensitive (although our tinctures are in sun shielded bottles, we still recommend not to leave in direct sunlight). They can be messy if trying to use them on the go. They come in a glass bottles with a glass droppers, although we use high quality, impact, medical grade glass, they can still break if dropped from high enough or with enough force.

CBD capsules

CBD capsules are taken orally. Our capsules are plant based, which melt within minutes of reaching your stomach and will deliver the entire dose of CBD. This means it will not get absorbed in your mouth or throat. If you take CBD capsules without food, very little will make its way through the rest of your digestive system. Taken with food helps increase bioavailability.

Pros and Cons of Capsules

CBD capsules dissolve quickly, delivering a dose of CBD directly into your stomach. Capsules are convenient and easy to use with no mess. They allow for exact mg dosing. If a CBD capsule contains 25 milligrams of CBD, assuming you’re using CBD Wellness, you know you’re getting a 25mg CBD dose.

Capsules take longer to feel the benefits. When taken on an empty stomach very little of the CBD will make its way into your ECS, most of it will be directly absorbed into the lining of your stomach. This is easily preventable by taking our capsules with food. Bioavailability of capsules is not as good as tinctures.

CBD topicals

CBD-infused topicals include salves, balms, creams, lotions, liniments, bath bombs, bath salts, and essential oil rollers. All of CBD Wellness’s topical products are infused with our high quality, CBD-Rich, phytocannabinoid oil.

Our topicals have a variety of additional beneficial ingredients that contribute to the overall benefits of our CBD products. For example, skin creams may contain moisturizers, vitamin E, collagen, and so on.

Pros and Cons of Topicals

Topicals (such as CBD Salve) are great for targeted use on a particular area or an underlying muscle and joint issue. They deliver CBD and other beneficial ingredients directly where they do their best. Onset is quick and duration can last several hours. Many options to choose from. Are fantastic for many different purposes.

Downside: they may be difficult to apply in certain areas (example: mid back) and can be messy. Many don’t see any downside with topicals, while others complain about having to wash their hands after applying. This may not be a concern for you if you’re familiar to these kinds of products.

Chapter 5: Getting Started

How To Buy

The CBD industry is rapidly expanding and constantly evolving. Unfortunately, this invites bad companies who are just trying to capitalize and don’t care about your health and wellness, nor the products their selling. Many of them will do anything to cut costs and corners in order to try and increase profit margins. Most other companies use inferior and unsafe materials. Many are completely dishonest (either knowingly or unknowingly), selling so-called CBD oil products that have negligible amounts or no CBD in them. Even worse, some contain dangerous synthetic CBD because its far cheaper than growing and extracting organic phytocannabinoid rich cannabis.

CBD quality is not something you should compromise on. You need a trusted manufacturer and brand that makes CBD oil products that are rich in natural CBD and terpenes. A company that truly cares about helping others, luckily you found us here at CBD Wellness 😊

Recently the FDA published a study on CBD product testing, they found that many of the CBD products on the market did not contain the amount of CBD listed on the label.

With all the CBD companies flooding the market with new products and false marketing information, it can be difficult to know who to trust and where to find the highest quality CBD oil. With a 90% return rate and over a decade in the industry, CBD Wellness has become one of the most trusted, reputable companies in the US.

Identifying a Good Company

There are a few factors that need to be considered when researching a company that makes high-quality CBD products. Included but not limited to; the source, the type of cannabis hemp, the method of extraction, and the quality of other ingredients in the products. Also try finding how long has the company been in business, are they licensed, do they have a store front or manufacturing location, do they have any 3rd party awards or recognition, are they sold in marijuana dispensaries.

Stay away from buying any CBD products or brands found in gas stations, grocery stores, flea markets, or on Instagram, facebook, ebay, amazon or anything marketed by celebrities or social media influencers. A good rule to remember is, the more marketed & distributed a product is, the more likely the product was made extremely cheap, using low quality materials and most likely contains very little to no CBD, by a white label marketing company. Typically their money goes into paying for ads and influencers, constantly trying to get new customers (because they do not retain customers after their initial purchase).

Reputable companies will gladly provide this information. If it’s not touted on their website, then you can use their contact form to inquire about their hemp source, extraction method, and the source of other ingredients. If a company will not provide you with this information, then don’t buy from them. There are respectable, high-quality CBD products out there and you found the best with CBD Wellness!

Hemp Source

Cannabis hemp is farmed all over the world. The U.S. is only recently starting to rebuild the hemp industry after a century of prohibition. However, we quickly became known as cultivating the absolute highest quality cannabis products in the world.

Remember, cannabis hemp is not created nor cultivated equally. Industrial hemp is primarily grown for its seeds & fibers, it does not produce high levels of CBD content, cannabinoids, or terpenes. PCR (phytocannabinoid) hemp is specifically cultivated with the highest CBD content, rich in cannabinoids and terpenes, which is what CBD Wellness uses in all our products.

CBD products made from industrial hemp must also be highly, chemically refined in order to contain the same concentration of CBD as CBD-Rich oil made from PCR cannabis hemp. This further destroys and removes many of the other naturally occurring, highly beneficial compounds that help CBD work in your ECS.

If a manufacturer specifies their CBD is extracted from industrial hemp, it’s safe to assume that the product has a lower concentration of CBD and terpenes than a CBD Wellness product made with CBD-Rich PCR cannabis hemp concentrate. Industrial hemp also lets you know it’s been highly chemically processed and refined, losing most of the plant’s natural essence. Finding a company who cultivates, extracts, and manufacturers it’s products that are made from PCR cannabis hemp is highly desirable.

We previously mentioned not to buy CBD products or brands found in gas stations, grocery stores, flea markets, or on Instagram, facebook, ebay, amazon as well as anything marketed by celebrities or social media influencers. We also recommend staying away from the other countless low quality CBD products that are cultivated, extracted, or produced overseas where quality standards are far lower, especially Asian countries such as China. CBD products produced in China are often created from industrial hemp that contains little to no cannabinoids and terpenes. They often extract using cheapest methods that use harsh chemicals which destroy cannabinoids and terpenes. They also contain toxic pesticides, contaminated with molds or have other biological toxins.

Ingredient Quality

Although raw, distilled, and isolated hemp extracts are available, most CBD products also contain additional ingredients.

Ingredients produced in the U.S. are always recommended.

When trying to determine whether a company is cutting corners or cost, reviewing the ingredients can help. Oils like mct, hemp seed oil, coconut oil, and almond oil are generally healthy and high quality. If a product contains many ingredients, especially ones you can’t pronounce or are harsh chemicals, then the manufacturer is most likely cutting corners.

Polyethylene glycol is often used in low quality CBD vape oils. This is the same chemical found in radiators. We pride ourselves on our high quality, product formulations that typically only have a few, all natural, plant derived components.

One exception to the can’t pronounce rule is an oil known as MCT oil. MCT stands for medium chain triglycerides. MCT oil is a natural product made from several plants, like coconut. Coconut oil contains both medium- and long-chain triglycerides. Triglycerides, although sounding like a type of chemical, are simply the main constituent of human body fat. MCTs are easier for the body to process, a great high-quality ingredient, and an excellent base for cbd formulations.

If you’re unsure on an ingredient, an internet search on the ingredient in question should help you determine whether the particular ingredient is safe and healthy or not.

Testing

Another factor to consider is third-party lab testing. The majority of CBD manufacturers will send their products out to testing labs to determine whether or not they contain any contaminants and also to measure the levels of cannabinoids in the product. Registered and licensed companies like CBD Wellness are held to strict requirements, requiring several stages of testing throughout the process. This includes testing the raw plant, testing the extracted oil, testing the refined oil, and lastly testing the formulated product.

Because different strains and crops produce different levels of CBD potency, the CBD oil will vary in potency from batch to batch. Great manufacturers will have a doctor or Scientist well versed in botanical formulations who knows exactly how much CBD is in their products. Top manufacturers will also provide the lab report for each product batch.

Unfortunately, as previously discussed there are a lot of unreputable companies out there. Since test results are presented on a piece of paper, many of these bad companies are now making fake test results and COA (certificate of analysis). These products are usually labeled with high mgs and extremely cheap. For example, a product stating it contains 10,000mg and is selling for $19.99. A quick search on Amazon will show several of these type of products.

Health Claims

Companies making serious health claims, or illness treatment is a strong sign that the company is exaggerating and just trying to get a sale, taking advantage of someone suffering and willing to try anything to help their illness or disease. Avoid this type of company and their products.

Find a Trusted Brand

Research the CBD brand, a simple internet search should help you learn more about the CBD brand you’re interested in.

Is the brand consistently portrayed in a good light, or bad light?

Do they have good reviews or bad reviews?

Do they have a physical location?

Do they have articles, reviews, or awards from other parties?

Are they sold in licensed medical cannabis dispensaries, or only sold in smoke shops & gas stations?

Where is the cbd grown, extracted, and formulated?

Dangers of Synthetic Cannabinoids

Recently (2021) people in Utah became seriously ill because of using a product made with synthetic CBD. Synthetic CBD is chemically created in a lab, instead of naturally grown in the cannabis plant. We can’t stress enough how dangerous synthetic CBD is. Stay away from it at all costs.

Goals

What is your reason and purpose for taking cbd, what do you hope to achieve. For example, you may not sleep well or get enough sleep. So your goal is to get a CBD product to help you sleep, you purchase CBD Wellness’s 800mg CBN sleep tincture, use it and get a great night’s sleep. Or maybe you have a bad knee that constantly hurts. So, your goal is to get a CBD product that helps relieve your knee pain. You determine that you want a 700mg tincture and topical salve. You begin taking the tincture to help internally and apply salve on the bad knee. You notice immediate relief when applying the salve and begin to notice less and less pain frequency over time as you use the cbd tincture 2x’s a day. This way you have quantifiable results that the product is working for you.

Determine Your Serving

If you’re taking CBD oil for health maintenance, you can take a lower dose of CBD. 50mg a day could be more than you need, of course it still comes down to the individual’s preference and what they find works for them.

If you’re using CBD for a purpose other than general health & wellness support, you may need a higher dose, or taking medications that CBD could interact with, as well as other considerations. If you are unsure, consider discussing it with a qualified medical professional, preferably one who is well-versed in the use of CBD.

Find the right product for you, from a high-quality, reputable company. Once you choose a trusted brand and product, create a daily regime for its use. This way you can truly gauge its effectiveness.

We hope that you’ll join the CBD Wellness family and see firsthand why we are the most preferred brand in the industry, trusted by millions for over a decade. How long has Cannabis been around?

We believe it’s been around since the begging of time on our planet. The first reported use of cannabis was in ointments and teas, documented in 2737 B.C. Americas first record of cannabis was in the 1600s, and was used as currency by the early colony settlers.

What Is CBD Oil?

CBD is one of 100+ cannabis compounds known as phytocannabinoids. These compounds are extracted from cannabis and used in a variety of ways and products. The most popular CBD products are tinctures, topicals, vapes, and gummies.

How Does CBD Work?

Phytocannabinoids interact with receptors connected to the ECS (endocannabinoid system). The ECS helps maintain homeostasis (balance) throughout the body and mind. Millions now use CBD every day for a variety of reasons; some include general health & wellness support, pain & inflammation relief, joint or knee pains, skin health, sleep, anxiety, stress, mood and the list could go on and on.

Benefits of CBD?

The endocannabinoid system influences vital human functions, this makes CBD a great addition to anyone’s wellness routine. Known for its vast health and wellness benefits, which include but not limited to: pain relief, reduces inflammation, appetite support, reduced nausea & vomiting, reducing intestinal spasms, anxiety relief, relaxant, reduces seizures and convulsions, suppress muscle spasms, improves immune system function, regulates blood pressure, regulates blood sugar, prevents degradation of nervous system, helps psoriasis, reduces artery blockage, kills bacterial growth, reduces / inhibits / kills growth in tumors & cancer, and promotes bone growth. Other benefits include maintaining a healthy heart, promoting a balanced mood, and post-exercise recovery.

Will I get High from CBD?

CBD is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid compound. THC is the cannabinoid responsible for causing a high. CBD Wellness only uses phytocannabinoid cbd-rich hemp strain that contains the legal 0.3% THC or less threshold. Therefore, CBD Wellness’s full spectrum CBD-Rich CBD oil is scientifically incapable of causing a high. Many users report a euphoric feeling when using CBD Wellness products, which some may confuse the euphoria with being high.

What Is the Strongest CBD Oil?

The strongest, most effective cbd oil is CBD Wellness’s CBD-Rich, full spectrum tinctures, this product has synergistic benefits known as the entourage effect. Our formula creates the highest bioavailability of any other product on the market. Each phytocannabinoid plays a unique role in how the product works and how it helps maintain homeostasis. Therefore, a full spectrum of phytocannabinoids will promote the entourage effect benefits and yield the strongest results.

Full spectrum CBD oil contains 0.3% THC or less.

The higher the mg, the stronger or more concentrated the CBD is in each serving. We make 1oz tinctures in 300mg, 700mg, 1500mg, 2500mg, and 5000mg dosing. Each serving is 1ml and the dose in 1ml will vary depending on the products total mg amount. For example, 1oz 300mg tincture contains 30 x’s 1ml servings, each 1ml serving contains 10mg of activated cbd VS 1oz 5000mg tincture contains 30 x’s 1ml servings, each 1ml serving contains 166mg of activated cbd.

How Much CBD Should I take?

As previously discussed, CBD serving and dose are dependent on several factors, some are a person’s weight, metabolism, reason & severity for use, type of product, company who made the product and more. Everyone responds slightly differently and sensitivity to phytocannabinoids can vary. So, it’s best to start with a medium dose and work your way up to an adequate dose as needed and that meets your needs.

What is the fastest way to absorb CBD?

CBD Wellness tinctures are the most effective and efficient way to absorb CBD quickly. Tinctures are absorbed into the blood stream via sublingual (under tongue) or buccal (between gums & cheeks) administration, onset of effects typically begin within 15-30 minutes.

Edibles and capsules take longer as they must first go through the digestive system.

At CBD Wellness, we use a proprietary emulsion process to extract and formulate our CBD-Rich phytocannabinoid products. This cutting-edge process allows us to formulate the industry’s most effective and most bioavailable CBD product on the market.

How to Choose High-Quality CBD

Research the company. How long have they been in the industry? Are they state licensed and registered? Are they sold in state licensed marijuana dispensaries? Is it sold in gas stations, smoke shops, or a franchised or pyramid type CBD business? Do they have a physical location, do they actually make the products or buy cheap from white labelers? Is it marketed or sold on social media or with a celebrity? Do they have any awards, recognition, or news articles? Are lab reports easy to find? Is there a long list of ingredients or ingredients you can’t pronounce? Are ingredients organic and natural or chemical and artificial?

Which CBD Product Is Right for Me?

The most popular CBD Wellness product is our CBD tinctures and topical salves. They are fast-acting, easy to use, effective, and versatile.

Many also enjoy our great tasting, delicious, CBD gummies. Great for an additional dose of cbd in between tincture use.

CBD capsules are also an excellent option for anyone new to CBD, many are more familiar with taking capsules.

For sleep, CBD Wellness has created a formula (800mg CBN SLEEP TINCTURE) that targets regulating sleep patterns by infusing our CBD oil with CBN.

CBD topicals are perfect for anyone’s skin or joint-related issues, even those wanting to help relieve symptoms of multiple sclerosis, arthritis, and neuropathy. Our skin has receptors that interact with the endocannabinoid system, by applying products topically at the site of concern they allow for targeted relief and care.

The World Health Organization has reported CBD as safe, well-tolerated in any amounts, no potential for abuse or dependency and has many known and unknown health & wellness benefits.
